Soft-Serve Ice Cream Machine Seasonal Start Up Tips!
Is everyone getting ready for frozen yogurt season? Now is the time. Temperatures are getting warmer and people are going to start coming out of their homes for some frozen delight!
Now would be a great time to check up on your ice cream machines to ensure that they are in working condition for ice cream season.
Here is a start up tip that you can use to make sure your machines are healthy:
Check For Frost
Water-Cooled Ice Cream Equipment
Prior to hooking up the water to the machine, turn the machine to “Auto” briefly – simply enough time to check for frost in the freezing cylinders. As soon as you can see frost start, turn off the ice cream machine, and attach the water to the machine. Do not keep the machine in “Auto” for longer than 30 seconds without the water connected. If no frost begins within 30 seconds of the machine being switched to “Auto”, shut down the soft-serve machine instantly. Do not hook up the water and call us for a Service Visit. No frost can indicate an additional maintenance check is needed to avoid costly damage and repairs.
Air-Cooled Ice Cream Machines
We advise to first turn the ice cream machine to “Auto” and check for frost in the freezing cylinders prior to continuing with start up. If no frost begins within 30 seconds of the machine being switched to “Auto”, shut down the machine and call us for a Service Visit. No frost can indicate a further maintenance check is needed to avoid expensive damage and repairs.
